The winner of this year\u2019s David E. Mitchell Award of Distinction is Jeff Clarkson, Chief Technical Officer at UT Comp. Founded in 2007, UT Comp specializes in engineering and design services, as the global leader in Composite Asset Intelligence, offering a full spectrum of composite engineering and inspection services. After finding a consistent gap in support for end-users of equipment made from fiber-reinforced plastic, also known as FRP, Clarkson developed the patented UltraAnalytix system. The system is an innovative approach to non-destructive evaluation of FRP, which gives end users reliable and valid information about their FRP assets in a fast, accurate, and cost-effective way. UTComp now serves leading clients in a range of sectors throughout North America, Europe, Africa, and Asia. Through his high level of expertise in all aspects of the engineering, design, and evaluation of FRP, Clarkson is a true Canadian innovator.<\/p>\n
