To drive this mission forward, IEF is actively seeking individuals passionate about entrepreneurship, social impact, and economic equity to join its Board of Directors.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cOur goal is to build a board that represents the communities we serve \u2014 entrepreneurs of all backgrounds, particularly those from historically underrepresented groups,\u201d said Catherine Chan, CEO at IEF.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cDiverse leadership leads to stronger decision-making, greater innovation, and a more inclusive entrepreneurial ecosystem. We want IEF programming and policy recommendations coming directly from those impacted by systemic racism, sexism and bias.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">IEF is looking for candidates with experience in governance, finance, legal affairs, fundraising, marketing, and community engagement. Applicants from equity-deserving communities, including Black, Indigenous, racialized, women and 2SLGBTQ+ leaders, are strongly encouraged to apply.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This is a working board committed to actively growing the IEF Founders Fund, which will provide scholarships crucial for business growth among underrepresented entrepreneurs. Board members will play a pivotal role in supporting IEF\u2019s sustainability, and advocating for equitable access to resources for Canadian entrepreneurs.
